Here’s a look at this week’s outfits from my spring capsule. I’ve decided to switch it up a bit and show some of my weekend outfits instead of the casual Friday looks.
I am love, love, loving my Spring Capsule! I am so glad I learned the lesson of adding more variety and texture after my Winter Capsule started to feel redundant. I feel I’m able to create a wider range of looks out of the same items, which has been a goal – to do more with less. My favorite looks from this week are Sunday’s birthday party look, mostly because the items are so comfy (I highly recommend the Gap linen tank). Besides my day 4 dirty hair I felt pretty pulled together. I also am loving the muted, lighter neutrals in Wednesday’s outfit and the wide leg pants are so fun to wear.
I’m not sure the boyfriend jeans are the most flattering cut for me, I think they make me look a little shorter and squatter than I already am. However, I love the distressed look and more casual feel, so they aren’t going anywhere! Also, I don’t think those were the right shoes to wear with the wide leg crops on Thursday. I think some gladiator type sandals would have been better, but it didn’t feel quite right pulling them out this early in the spring. I love the outfit, but I think there’s room for improvement. And last, with the warmer temps I’m showing more skin and a little color would be good 😉
It’s been warming up quite a bit, so I’m trying to squeeze in the last few wears out of my cardigans, boots, and layers before we’re on to spring. I always love the new season, but I’m not one to rush into it. I have been contemplating the addition of some black Birkenstocks…I wear my brown ones all of the time, but I think I’d get a lot of use out of black too. On the other hand, how many pairs of Birks does one lady need?!?! Oh, the struggles of truly contemplating every single purchase 😉
