White shirt & bootcut jeans

I have been excited for bootcut jeans to make a comeback since skinny jeans hit the scene. They are so slimming and make me feel so much taller (at 5’2″ that’s a big deal)! I’m also much more comfortable wearing heels with bootcut jeans than with skinnies. Heels and skinnies are a look I love on everyone else, but I always feel like I’m look like I’m trying to hard when I try pull it off.

I kept it simple today with a white shirt and nude heels. Both were Target clearance rack finds last spring. I love the shirt because it’s a bit more flowy, so I think it looks more casual than a crisp, white blouse.

I bought these GAP bootcut jeans on ThredUp using the credits from clothing I had sent in. I ordered a size up so I could wear them now. I didn’t want to have to wait to lose these 15 pregnancy pounds before I jump on the bootcut trend train! Here’s a link to ThredUp for $10 off both your first and second orders.

    1. I love it Paige! You are too cute. You are working that backdrop nicely! I think I love denim in general and just don’t discriminate!

BTW, I am impressed with how you’re keeping up with posting AND back at work. Hope you’re getting some rest in there!

      1. Thanks, Andrea! I am loving the new backdrop, though I still need to master the settings. It’s definitely making things easier not having to work around the “perfect” light outside which would be tough with work and the shortening days. Blogging definitely takes more time that I ever anticipated, but I just remind myself that it’s all for fun and to log my journey through this capsule/minimization process. I’m off to see what you chose for your fall capsule!

    1. This is such a great, casual look. I think we’re all doing a silent sigh of relief that bootcut and flares are back – I’m wishing I had held on to just a few more pairs…

      1. Totally agree with the sigh of relief! It took me a while to warm up to the skinnies and eventually I didn’t hate them, but I definitely don’t feel they are as flattering on my figure type as bootcuts. I managed to lose some weight a few years ago and so I got rid of all of my bootcuts as I needed a new size, so I don’t have any purging remorse there at least! Is it as hot and summery up where you are as it is here?
