#wiw – maternity style

I’m just going to be honest, it’s been a rough week. I have a wicked cough and the side effects are really getting to me. I’ve barely been able to sleep and my belly is so sore from coughing so much that I now cringe every time I cough. Between that, busy afternoons, and rainy days, I’ve only been able to snap quick outfit pics to share for the week.

Monday I wore a simple jeans and lightweight sweater and added cognac accessories.  You’ll notice I rarely wear black accessories – cognac is my go to – it feels more laid back and I love the warm color. This isn’t a maternity sweater, but one I ordered to be oversized and it still works. The lightweight material is perfect for spring.

Tuesday was another really rainy day, so I took it as an opportunity to wear my Hunter boots since typically Colorado doesn’t get much precip. I paired my boots with dark skinnies, a striped tee (which may need to be retired from my capsule already – I was pulling it down all day) and a cozy cardigan.

Thursday, I wore black track style pants, a gray tee, denim jacket, and leopard slipons. Nothing too exciting, but definitely comfortable, which is what I needed this week.

Thursday evening I started having lots of Braxton Hicks contractions, so I figured this mama needed to rest. Friday, I planned to take a day off of school to just catch up on sleep. I got a call at 7:10 that there were no subs available, so I got ready super fast and was at school 30 minutes later. Luckily, it’s Friday, so a tee, jeans, and chucks are perfectly acceptable! Please excuse the giant bump blocking most of the pic 🙂
